Trump is arrested and pleads not guilty to 34 counts of felony falsifying business records.

New York's extensive investigation into the former president's involvement in a "hush money" scheme with adult film actress Stormy Daniels has resulted in Donald Trump's arrest.

Despite the fact that he was not bound, didn't need to make a mug effort or go for a culprit stroll, he was successfully captured when he gave up to the court.

Subsequent to being handled at the town hall, Trump was spotted by television news cameras strolling through the lobbies to the court.

The former president was photographed sitting down before the charges were laid against him. Cameras were no longer allowed in the courtroom when the arraignment started.

Trump pleaded not guilty to 34 charges of first-degree business record falsification.

The main charges center on two women receiving "hush money" payments: Daniels and Karen McDougal, a former Playboy model, according to NBC News reports.

In a public interview following the arraignment, Manhattan Head prosecutor Alvin Bragg illustrated the charges, saying, "These are lawful offense violations in New York Express regardless of what your identity is.

We will not normalize serious criminal behavior, and neither can we.

In a courtroom in Lower Manhattan, the arraignment took place. Around 1:10 p.m. EST, Trump was seen leaving Trump Tower in Manhattan and driving in a large motorcade downtown.

Trump waved and held his fist up as he walked from Trump Tower to his car. When he walked from the vehicle to the courthouse, he also addressed the crowd in the same manner.

Trump wrote on his social media website, Truth Social, "Heading to Lower Manhattan, the Courthouse," during the drive to the courthouse, which was scheduled for 2:15 p.m. EST.

It looks so real—wow, they're going to detain me. I can't believe that this is taking place in America. MAGA!”

Trump made a public declaration on March 18 that he believed his arrest was imminent.

The arrest comes as Bragg investigates Trump's alleged involvement in paying adult film star Stormy Daniels $130,000 to keep quiet about their alleged affair from 2006.

The falsification of the Trump Organization's business records and the false representation of payment reimbursement, on the other hand, are considered criminal acts.

The 2016 payoff is not a crime. Daniels received the funds from Michael Cohen, the President's former "fixer." Consequently, the whole transaction has been deemed a misdemeanor.

Trump wrote on Truth Social prior to the arrest, "We just CAN'T ALLOW THIS ANYMORE." THEY'RE KILLING OUR Country AS WE SIT BACK and WATCH.

America must be saved! Fight, Dissent, PROTEST!!!"

The former president went on to say, "THE FAR AND AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE AND FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF THE NEXT WEEK."calling for the protest. Protest, take back our nation!

Since 2018, when the then-president was impeached twice, in December 2019 and in January 2021, the New York investigation has been ongoing.

After a formal House investigation revealed that he had solicited foreign interference for his 2020 reelection, Trump was first impeached.

Trump was impeached in January 2021 for inciting the January 6 Capitol insurrection following the 2020 election.

Trump has since declared plans to run for re-appointment in 2024. In the interim, a 18-month examination sought after a lawbreaker body of evidence against the previous president's contribution with the Jan. 6 rebellion.

In December 2022, the investigation came to an end, and on January 6, the Committee referred the criminal charges to the Department of Justice.
